About

Lori is a licensed psychotherapist at Ray of Hope Counseling Services located in Peachtree City, GA. She has extensive training and experience in working with individuals from a solution-focused modality. Solution Focused Brief Therapy is an evidence-based, innovative approach to helping individuals identify, create, and live the kind of life they desire. Instead of concentrating on what has been going wrong and analyzing faults, attention is directed on individuals’ best hopes and how their life will be different when those best hopes are attained.

What you can expect to happen in a typical session:

  • Solution-building rather than problem-solving
  • Focus on desired future rather than on past problems or current conflicts
  • Increase frequency of what is already working (If it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it)
  • Encourage small changes that can lead to major changes
  • Notice times when problem could’ve happened but didn’t (NO problem happens ALL the time)

Areas of Expertise:

  • Marriage preparation ● Child/adolescent issues ● College/career issues
  • Marital/parental issues ● Anxiety ● Workplace bullying
  • Divorce preparation ● Anger management ● Substance abuse
  • Family disputes ● Grief/loss ● Depression
  • High functioning autism/Asperger’s Syndrome issues within relationships
